Organic Amish Amoxicillin Recipe
A bold, traditional wellness tonic of lemon, ginger, garlic, turmeric, manuka honey and pineapple, blended raw and taken by the spoonful.
Ingredients
- Juice of 1 fresh lemon
- 1 small yellow onion, roughly chopped
- 1 large piece fresh ginger (about the size of a lemon), peeled
- 3-4 cloves fresh garlic, peeled
- 1 heaping tablespoon ground turmeric (or fresh turmeric root)
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoons raw manuka honey (highest MGO grade you can afford)
- 1 whole pineapple, peeled and chopped (or canned in 100% juice)
- 1/4 cup raw apple cider vinegar (use less if store-bought)
Instructions
Wash and roughly chop the onion and pineapple. Peel the ginger and garlic, and juice the lemon. Gather the spices, honey and apple cider vinegar.
Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 60 to 90 seconds until completely smooth and pourable.
Taste the tonic and adjust to your preference - a little more honey for sweetness, or more lemon and vinegar for tartness. This tonic is meant to be bold and pungent.
For a smoother, thinner tonic, strain through a fine-mesh sieve or nut-milk bag. Skip this step to keep all of the natural fiber - many people prefer it unstrained.
Pour into a clean glass jar and refrigerate. Take 1 tablespoon up to three times a day. Keeps refrigerated for about 1 to 2 weeks - shake well before each use.
Tips for the Best Results
- Use the freshest ingredients you can find - good ginger, garlic and honey make all the difference.
- Start with less cayenne and honey, then adjust to your taste.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a smooth, drinkable tonic.
- Always enjoy this as a food tonic, never as a replacement for prescribed medicine.
